"Hello, there dear. you may try this with Homer[?] some time. [I?] mean not to often. for you know there is a little Bird a-- looker all the- time." Time is underlined.
A kind of creepy 1909 postcard titled "Our Lodger's Such a Nice Young Man" as they smooch on the couch, being watched... The message on back is equally as disturbing.
Hee hee, what a saucy card!! :)) I think at the end she is writing a-looken, as in looking on, country folk slang. What a curious correspondence! :)
Hatty was a Hottie !!!
Did Winnie win Homer's heart ???
My pleasure, Rucklczglass.
Katherine, LOL. I like it.
Vetraio, we noticed that we have two postcards that were addressed to the same person and address.
Terrific ! I like my cards best that are sent with a good post
mrk and a message...so interesting, apeek it life 100years or more ago.
.
Thank you, Post Card Collector. Didn't know you were gonna seek this one out. LOL.
I think it is so cool when we match sets!We may have more that fit sets..maybe we do....
We like the same things now that were popular then. And they got sent all over-- not just a regional thing, usually, in America; so.... probably. As for if we'll even remember, who knows. Too many books.
I seem to have a really good memory when it come to my cards
I look at them often and really love them. I am going to categorize them better and get all the same size albums. I have been too "random".
I have 1 book for my city. My others books have some cards organised, like Army or Real Photo or German, but in general, it's luck of the draw. :)
I know what you mean,
But the more I look thru the books the more things begin to sort themselves out which I have begun to do. I was thinking, dates, artists, too. When I did my sheet music, there were many options as well--but eventually I did categories, of which there are dozens!! That was a job of 25 years--and now, I've got myself into doing a similar chore!! Always tho, I am working with things I love.
