The crop was fair, more or less, this season. Here's one of our wagons en route to the market.
Message:
"Hello kid. How are you getting along Mrs [Wengel?] is coming home to-day I wish if you[?] would of came [????? ??? ???] gone [???] would of [???] some fun are you coming [???] Thursday [?? ???] and [???] I got a postal from ma [Sat?] ok some sick I was thinking how she is [? ???] soon coming home, good by."
Yeah, he got a postal but not good penmanship!
