My husband inherited the statue from his mother. It is currently on loan to the NSW Art Gallery. It is in perfect condition. We would like to know its provenance.

Surely the Art Gallery of NSW could fill you in on the significance of this object? I take it that your husband did not get the details from his his mother before her passing?
