Hi and Thanks for any Help You can give me on this one. I found it at a Yard Sale today! Yay Me!
I show you tell! :) Thanks for any help! I LOVE THIS!
It is 76" x 56" The first pic shows more wear than the flip side which is a lot more vibrant. It has it's condition issues. Some holes and one that was stitched up. I think it had a hand sewn border on it at sometime during its lifetime.
Well that's all I know.
Thanks Again!
Okay, so I found out a little more about this Blanket. Apparently it is a Pendleton Blanket (google them if interested). I am almost sure of this because when I looked closely at the corners on the blanket you could see on one of the corners it appears that a label was once there. Since the company has been trading blankets since the 1890's that could make this one a rather older one so much so that they recreated the pattern not too long ago. I also found out that the "star" is a sioux star which doesn't make much sense because when they recreated it they called the blanket "Los Lunas" ... hmm. Interesting stuff! :)
But I would still like to really date this. And the newer creations they had made form what I could tell so far where not in this color. So if you know anything such as where I could find out how old this one is... Please let me know. Thanks!
Very nice, hard to find blanket. Probably from the 20's. The tag would help date it, lol
Let's get a look at the remains of the la...bel.
