This is the only pressed glass from the Art Deco period that I have. It was bought when, supposedly, I was collecting pressed glass from the 50's/60's/70's. Clearly, I was too green to see that though it is pressed glass, the design, if not the production, came from a much earlier period.
The final picture is taken from above and even I was surprised by the result. It demonstrates why I still love pressed glass......it's thick and a good designer can achieve astonishing optical effects. Not that I think that was the aim here....

It has an almost religious effect on the viewer, IMO. [;>)
