This is a very rare clock manufactured by the Ohio Art Display Company, it is stamped and dated September 19, 1952. The light-up clock was part of a national dealer marketing campaign to promote Scott's new "Gold Pennant" outboard design for 1953. The outboard displayed a unique dark green bottom and a gold top on their 7.5 and 10 horsepower motors.
In 1956 Scott-Atwater sold their outboard division to McCulloch who continued to manufacturer outboards until late 1967 when they folded the outboard division to focus on landscape equipment.
The clock motor has been replaced with an original and the gears have been professionally cleaned and conditioned with a synthetic oil for many more years of enjoyment!
