Good Evening CW Friends----(10:30 PM)2016-4-11
Always good timing make collector find great item, today I was just there before everybody else to find this beautiful Coloured photograph of a Young Boy posing on a Wicker chair, just by the dress of the Boy and the Chair, i will date with confident this is from late 1880 to 1900, the Artist use an heavy stock Cardboard for this Masterpiece, this Artwork is not sign.
This is so well done, it's look real, when i see this from the entrance(40 feet away) in the top shelve at the thrift, i think first this was a photograph, but I came closer i realize what it is, this coming on frame, lucky, no damage on this beauty, i will for sure find the perfect frame and location in my house for that one.
This Artwork is 16 Inch by 20 inch.
Thanks for Viewing.

Nice! This is a photograph that has been tinted. Large photos of this era lost many of the details and were often touched up and tinted to enhance the details.
They were very popular in the late 19th/ early 20th century.
16 X 20 was a typical sizing-- what size is yours?
