This is a collection of adorable vintage cloth figurine/dolls from the 1960s (we think) that was meticulously cared for by my mother-in-law. They are unmarked. All have yellow feather hair and closed eyes yet each has a different motif, i.e. painting, skiing.
Adorable is exactly the right word for these!
Any idea where they were made? The faces appear to be stocking painted - is that right?
So much work in these - the clothes and shoes ; I am in love!
Hi! We have no idea where these little guys were made. My mother-in-law never brought them out and my husband said he remembers them from when he was little. The two larger dolls, shown separately (9" vs. 7"), are made of a higher quality and have cloth faces. The littler ones in the large collection appear to be knock-offs of these two and the faces look like they are stocking painted. We are trying to identify them. Thank you for responding!
I have searched a bit and did find two more but no ID for them either.
There was a great deal of cloth Christmas dolls from Japan in the 1960s but whether these are from there I don't know.
