Wondering if anyone can help identify these bowls - maybe soup bowls? Have a set from aunts things - she moved here from Italy by 1950.

I only saw one other one in a Google search, listed as Majolica made by PV Italy, from the 1950s. Since your grandma left Italy in 1950, then this has to be 1940s.
It looks like a decorative item to me, and a very pretty one. I wouldn't use whatever its purpose is supposed to be =)
I had a vase posted sometime ago that looks very similar in signature, texture and color. A CW member helped me with the search, but all we could positively identify was that "PV" stands for Peasant Valley, and that's not the maker, it's the importer of the pottery. The makers were numerous and for some reason, items were engraved with the importer's mark, so it's possible the maker may remain a mystery.
