Can anyone please shed some light on this sweet little trinket box I was given by my elderly Austrian neighbour? It seems to be from Czech Republic (as it's known now), but I'd love to know more!

Your pretty porcelain trinket box dates to before 1993 (when the country became known as the Czech Republic) and is most likely a generic tourist/souvenir piece, as there is no factory mark and cannot be traced. Your neighbor is the best one to ask for information about where it came from (town) and when it was purchased.
I think it might be old - according to the wear on the legs. Possibly the first half of 20th century - from 1918 onwards, when Czechoslovakia was formed. Sorry to correct you, Efesgirl - todays' Czech republic is just only a part of former Czechoslovakia, the other part is the Slovak Republic.
martika - since it was an elderly neighbor who gave her the piece, I wasn't suggesting that it was a new piece. Only that the word "Czechoslavakia" was used up until 1993.
