... I just picked this wooden sign up, It is ( 36" tall X 42" side ) and has two original wooden golf clubs mounted to the face of the sign with a painting of two golfers on a green with the lighthouse in the background. I believe that this is the golf club that holds the British Open Golf Tournament .
.... Cool Sign !
The British Open changes venues every year St Andrews is one coarse I know they have used.
Harbourtown golf coarse has a light house like this one.
... Thanks ... I did not know that ,
..... I appreciate any info on this sign
I did "Google" Princes Golf Club and found it in Sandwich Bay , Kent .
Great sign !
Princes held the Open in 1932.
.... Gene Sarazen won the British Open in 1932 .
GENE SARAZEN's place in the hall of fame was assured by his achievement in becoming the first player to win the four major professional championships in golf, the Masters, the US Open, the Open and the US PGA. In a most exclusive club, he was subsequently joined by only three others: Ben Hogan, Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus.
