This Welz décor is called Vertical Lines. It's found in several colours and many shapes but this is the first example I've found on strutted legs. In fact this is my first example of any known Welz Art Deco décor on strutted legs.
Height 13cm./5 inches
I have several examples of bowls and vases on these legs some identified but most not. The bowl in image four is my favourite and I'm taking this chance to ask if anyone recognises the décor.
It is a spaced out spatter as you see. The interior is paler than you see. BUT is there anyone out there who has ever seen this décor......it's been bugging me for years!
wow. Like, way too cool. [;>)
Thank you, NB, I'm never sure what 'cool' really means.....but I'm definitely taking it as a compliment :)
First example on legs like this I have seen in the décor.... I also think it is the first time I have seen this form on legs also... Great addition to your growing Welz collection.
I can not say I have seen the green décor before.....
Thanks, welzebub, I'm not really expecting anything else but you never know.....
BEAUTIFUL!!

You are an absolute tonic, Karen.....you sound buoyant.....if it's something you're on please can I have some!
Thank you, nutsabotas. Actually I've been quite surprised at the enthusiasm for this rosebowl. But hey, a nice surprise is always a pleasure.
An absolute eyes delight of glass display, it's a non stop of beautiful Art Deco examples you have Peggy.
I am in complete admiration of your amazing glass collection.
Regards
Alan
Thank you, Alan, you are very kind but I think the boot is on the other foot! C'est à dire, je pense que c'est vous qui a une collection extraordinaire. Desolée, en grammaire je suis nul!!
Beautiful, sklo! The third picture is terrific - I really like the diversity of form that it shows. And nice to have the original metal frogs, too!
Thank you Michelleb, we see this décor quite often here, but coming across the less usual shapes is another story!
Thought of you when seeing this one:

Thank you, kyratango, she said through gritted teeth! Just joking, but I would have loved it. I would love to be able to get into ebay.fr......
Ah, s..t! Even from a tablet or smartphone, changing settings for country?
I noticed I can accede to different listings from IPhone or Android...

You are temptress !! I have seen that one as my searches are set to European wide. I only use a computer so no apps. I should try it again, and persist!
Hehe, I resist to buy glass :-) prefer to admire other's collections ;-)
At least jewelry takes up less space!
Yep, that's why!
:-D
C'est incroyable......j'ai tapé ebay.fr et immediatement j'ai eu acces au tout les enchères. Je ne comprend pas.....pourquoi c'était assez simple aujourdhui?
Youpi!!! Hope you'll get some french bargains.
:-D
Lovely group Peggy. I must keep an eye out for something on legs :)
Thanks Fran, they're not all that rare either!
