I just purchased these two small boxes at a yard sale for 10 cent each!! I was very surprised when I turned the one over and saw the price. They are marked with a name and Mexico. The name looks like R Cervaniel, but I have not been able to find out anything about him. Does anyone know what metal these are and possibly something about the artist?

These are very nice and look to be red copper. Can't read the name because the photo is too blurry.

Here is info on copper arts and crafts in Mexico. The person who made your trinket boxes may not be listed on the web.

128.00 is not USD! That's pesos value in Oct. 2003. (Date on price sticker)

That would indeed be shocking if it were USD.

Thanks Celiene, I was not not aware that they used the $ in Mexico also, now I know :)
