The PB4Y-2 was a B-24 modified for use by the US Navy in WWII. The most noticeable change being the single tail rotor instead of the dual tail used by the B-24. The large single tail worked better at low altitudes where the Privateers worked looking for enemy submarines and recon. The originals also had dual top machine gun turrets and nose and tail turrets. The waist gun positions were bubbles that extruded from the sides. There was no lower turret as it flew so low there was no need for that.
This example has been stripped of all armament and the gun positions replaced smoother plexi glass positions just for viewing. It is one of three left that are in flying condition. This one is based in Phoenix AZ.
There are also three static aircraft and the nose from one other. I don't know if any of these are in the original armed configuration.

Thank you very much Thomas. The Air Force Thunderbirds team there was flying F-16s. It was pretty amazing.
