Folk Art Painting of Girl with Star Spangled Banner in her Hair by Amy Jordan

I saw this and fell in love. It is one crazy painting. The Star Spangled Banner is written out in her hair, which is sort of like dreadlocks made of Twizzlers. I just love the way she corrected her misspelling of "streaming" by adding the "a" (see the second picture). The colors are really great, the frame is painted front and back. I looked up the artist, Amy Jordan, and it seems she calls herself the folk art blonde and does a lot of portraits, usually of blondes, with faces similar to this girl, and sells reproductions of many of them on zazzle. Most of those pieces are a little cute for my taste. I love this one in part because it is cute, she has a pleasant face but also because she looks a bit like a medusa head, while at the same time, being sort of pleasant looking. Anyway, part of my patriotic collection of goodies. I'm posting a few of my lady liberty figures in a moment.
