Does anyone know what this is? Is it from a wood burning stove? Purchased at a recent estate sale and thought it was pretty cool.

Might have been part of a letter box, as the name of the family is on it.

Does it say the Mills on this don't think its a stove piece. Efesgirl is on the right track I believe.
