    Hello!

New kid on the block, here!

I have an absolutely adorable little (approx. 10" tall) white (assuming it's milk glass) hobnail lamp. Is there any sure-fire way to determine whether this is (or is not) a Fenton? It was purchased from an estate sale nearly 20 years ago. (Not sure how much I paid for it, but I am sure it wasn't much.) I've read about some of the tell-tale signs of an older unmarked Fenton piece of glass, but I am not so sure in this case due to my lack of expertise.

So, now, I turn to all of you in your infinite wisdom. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks to all of you for your great Show and Tell posts! I have "gone down the rabbit hole" a few nights and stayed up WAY past my bedtime reading about your beloved items. Very happy to have stumbled upon them!

    -Melissa

Welcome Melissa, love the lamp. So many sources made hobnail lamps, can't say for sure who made it. Hopefully someone will come along and reveal the answer. Good luck.

similar to many lamps sold in dime stores c1950s-60s. my guess is likely not Fenton, but you might look thru the early catalogs at fentonfan.com

Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone! Thanks for the love, antiquerose. NevadaBlades, thanks for the photo nod; not entirely sure what I'm doing, but I have been reading up on how to use my camera with all of its whistles and bells! TallCakes, thanks for the direction re: the Fenton catalogs. I'll be sure to check them out. I have a few more estate/garage sale items that I rediscovered while unpacking from a recent move. I'll be sure to post them soon to see if anyone has any insight. (I have a tendency to pick things up that catch my eye after Sunday "brunching" and a couple of mimosas and try to figure out what they are later.) blunderbuss2, I am happy to have "checked in" to the CyberAsylum!

      Thanks again, everyone!
