I attended the local rummage round up where you can find all kind of interesting stuff. The jewelry table was doing a brisk business everything was in plastic baggies and priced at 3.00I managed to reach in and grab one off the pile and this was what was i found inside. There are 3 stamped 925 silver cuff bracelets an interesting pendant with birds on it and a gold tie pin with a beautiful blue stone in it.
You grabbed well!
The pendant is called a cartouche and is Egyptian. Egyptian silver is marked on the front, and there is a tiny square on the wing of one of the birds - that is your silver mark.
The pendant with cartouche (image 1) bears the throne name of Pharaoh Ramses II.
It is read as `` User-maat-re Setep-en-re`` (The Strong Justice of Re, Chosen by Re)
