This is my latest purchase from a local market stall. I love buying things then trying to find and research it's history, but so far I haven't managed to find anything on this vase.

The vase is 24 inches high with a 6 1/2 inch opening at the top and 6 inch base.
There is a symbol on the bottom, that I can not determine. The closest I've found is "big" (Chinese) or "6" (Japanese).

Based on the decoration around the mouth, throat, base, and the shape, I think this is recent Hong Kong ware in imitation of Jingedzhen vases made around 1950 and later. Use the link and scroll down to Jingedzhen Zhi, Mark 111. Hong Kong has produced vases almost identical to 111. Search Hong Kong vases for more.

Thank you for the Welcome. I love the site and am in awe of some of the gorgeous things on here. Will have to spend a day taking photos and adding more.

Wasn't 100% percent sure if Japanese or Chinese but decided to try Asian after your Honk Kong remark and found this site which has some very much like mine :-)
