Recently found these two pencil drawings of a very interesting lady at a local Salvation Army store. They are in two oak 8 by 10 frames. I love these drawings so much because of the great detail that the artist presents in each of the drawings. Perhaps there are more drawings of the same lady in different situations! I would love to hear what anyone knows about this art and/or artist!
I find the artist's signature very interesting as it appears to include a fish!
What looks like bad spelling of Berlin on a sticker on the suitcase is more than likely the first few letters of Burlington.
Found this in Finger Lakes region of New York state.
The tag under the Erie tag is not discernible even was magnification.
I went to this site on 4/23/2016: http://www.signaturefinder.com/ - found lots of "fish" but not the fish I thought I was going to catch!
Thank you for your observation Emma Peel: we got out our magnifying glass and realized that NG KONG would most certainly stand for HONG KONG.
Would be nice to eventually determine the artist's identity so we could possibly find and enjoy more drawings by her or him!
Notice Berlin is spelled 'Burlin' on the suitcase one on the right?
Ands she has an antiques book under her arm. The faces are kinda weird! I love them too!
Looks like NJF or MJF - and I'll bet the last name was Fish. What does the tag say under the Erie tag? Where did you find these - what city?
Great find. I was thinking the same as Celine that the last name is Fish.
The label under Erie says Hong Kong!
