Antique Metal Kitchen Chair

This chair is made out of metal/steel, the seat and upper section of the back had caning. The chair is a standard size kitchen or dining room chair. I pulled this chair out of a river with my anchor while I was fishing.
I would like to know the period this chair is from and the manufacturer. It does have a tag on the back cross piece under the seat but it's illegible.
