Any ideas on what this is?...trying to identify what it may be....seems to be really early bone ash candy dish...please I anyone knows I would love to figure this one out...has a high pitch ringing tone from the edge and not white!!!.... More transparent ivory color....pretty. Thanks!
It's too small for a candy dish. Maybe a small sugar bowl, or maybe a master salt cellar? Ice cream bowl? Very pretty, and I'd say rather old.
the form was called a berry bowl. The pattern is Northwood Glass #235 'Intaglio' c1899; AKA: Flower Spray with Scrolls. The glass is custard glass with enamel décor and is EAPG.
Thank you....I think it's pretty too...custard glass huh?...so not porcelain. 1899 is old for sure and that's awesome...what is EAPG????
EAPG = Early American Pattern Glass
yes, custard glass... check it out in the dark with a black light if you have one.
Thank you!
