Recent aquisition. An Elephant Foot Vase. 6 lobed foot. In the Amethyst color. A very elegant and beautifully made vase with no imperfections. I wonder if it is a Whitefriars. Hoping Karen and others will offer their opinions. Measures 9". Thanks for stopping by.

I don't think Whitefriars Dean, more likely Japanese (Tajima).
WF vases of this type have thick "toes" , almost dog bone in form. If you check the base and the toes continue to the centre of the base so it looks like a star then that is a WF - if it's relatively flat and smooth (I think it is looking at the photos) then it's Japanese.
It's a gorgeous colour and a nice height!

Thank you Karen for the feedback on the vase. I'm happy to hear that you think it is a Japanese version. When I found it, it sat on a shelf, amongst a bunch of junk glass. I'm glad for your tutelage, which enabled me to pick it out from the others. Thanks again, I really appreciate the info.
