Multi wood pattern tapered candle holders...I am wondering if anyone has any idea on the origin or make of these candle holders....it looks like walnut strips in oak or hickory to me....I don't know...year?...brand?....any help to identify these would be cool thanks!

You probably won't like my answer but I will post anyway. These were probably made by someone who worked with wood as a hobby. The plans and angles of cut for the glue up was featured in the Home Handyman magazine during the 1990's. You could adapt the plans for anything from toothpick holders to vases. I still have the article for making Victorian Christmas Ornaments which is very difficult as the globe has to be hollowed out paper thin. All of the items were good sellers at crafts shows. The reason I suspect homemade is someone doing it as a business, even a small business marks their work. As an example, items my wife turned on her lathe were marked "Shop Maid" along with numbers that reflected the date.

No I'm happy with that assessment.... I kinda figured they were possible homemade... I like them and they look good with our new table in the dining room. Of course any definitive answers are still welcome if anyone has more ideas on these....but they are nice. Thanks!
