Know anything about these chairs?

I recently purchased these 2 chairs at garage sale. I spoke with the elderly lady, who's husband had recently passed. She told me her husband was in the air force long ago and would send stuff home from all over the world back in the 3o's. She believed these came from Spain. Has anyone ever seen the likes before? I have done some online searching to no avail. They're really amazing!
