    I purchased this doll from a yard sale years ago and have no idea what it is or when it was made it's made of hard plastic measures 7 inches

      It's basically just considered a "hard plastic" or "plastic" doll. Very few were marked and it doesn't look like yours was ever dressed. If someone had removed his clothing, there would be staple marks in the body as the dressed doll's clothes were stapled on. Don't mistake it for a Nancy Ann Storybook Doll as some do; NASB never have stapled on clothing. Most likely this doll was bought naked at a five & dime type store. It is old though, most likely 50's-60's, possibly very late 40's. Here's an article about this type: http://collectdolls.about.com/od/dollprofiles/p/vinyldolls.htm. Most had hair and were female, but sometimes you'll run across one like your, obviously a male.
