These chairs were purchased as a pair. They are custom made. I'm not sure what the wood type is. They have a cream background and the design is embroidered in wool. The back fabric is a gold velvet fabric. They are in impeccable condition. The label under one of the cushions states: "Manufactured by N.C. Schoonbeck, a Division of Henredon Fine Furniture". These were purchased by my great-grandparents I think around the 1930's or so. Maybe 1940's? I believe they paid around $800 for the pair, which seems like a lot for the time period, but they are, to the best of my knowledge, one-of-a-kind. Any information on them would be greatly appreciated.
