D-P Chicago "Nite-Lite" Moto Meter Car Radiator Temperature Guage Blue Lens
Nite-Lite Motometer Radiator Cap
A beautiful original Moto-Meter temperature guage. Reads "Nite-Lite - reg", and "D-P Chicago" on the rim. The glass is very clean with good visibility. The indicator face inside reads "Danger - Steam", "Summer Average", "Cool Motor", and gives the messages "A cool motor causing gasoline waste - use radiator cover", and "A sudden rise indicates trouble - stop and investigate".
The back of the gauge has a rounded area similar to a diving bell, with clear viewing ports around the edge, and a round blue-tinted lens in the middle. It appears this could have housed a light bulb. Not cleaned.
Very rare to find one of these now.
Sweet !! Never seen one. What year is this from?
Possibly mid to late 20's but not sure. Will have to brush up with my books and see if I can find one.
The Blue is so striking !! If not cleaned -- Man -- it is CLEAN
LOL
Well the glass is clean at least, but needs some cleaning.
