This rose bowl has the same 'raised lines and ridges' décor as my previous post, but being on a round form it does look a little different. Part of what would have been a lovely frog remains, but the central mesh, which would have been fixed to the six holes on the top of the rim, is gone.
Image 4 gives the best representation of the actual colour of the bowl. In spite of the loss to the frog I think this bowl has a regal look. Perhaps it's the richness of the purple and gold iridescence and the crown like rim! Appropriate in the week that our head of state celebrated her ninetieth year.
Surprisingly in all my years of collecting rose bowls this is the first time I've ever seen this type of frog or this moulded pattern in deep iridescent green.

It's Elizabeth's bowl! I agree very regal and beautiful.
Thanks, Karen, I have to say she is all that prevents me being a republican.
