    I bought this 1930's Michelin Bakelite Ashtray at a local location a while back. It has no 'Made in England' mark at the bottom beside the screw like others have seen so guess it could be American or French made. It is a timeless piece! I used some Brasso and a light iron wool to polish up the bakelite. Came up well I think!
