Mid Century ding table and Chairs

I got this table and 4 chairs about 10 days ago at my local thrift store.
The table is stamped L.A. Period and is a different are it is stamped, Walter of Wabash. So who is the table by ?
The 4 chairs are by
Morris MFG. Co. The table is solid and heavy, the chairs are very light, wondering what kind of wood they are.
I think this whole set is from the 1950's, what do you guys think about this set ?
