Any help with signature on this water color is appreciated and any idea who the lady could be. It is signed something 40 and then on the back is two more images and signatures. Looks like this was out of some art studio...... I think this could be a good one. Maybe the signatures on the back can help trace to the front signature

The first signature looks like Padua to me. The second maybe T. or F. Lundz?

There is a site that tries to help match signatures, you can try different combinations of letters there then compare the art:

      http://www.signaturefinder.com/

Good luck! The first one is really very appealing. :)

Paul Mathias Padua was born in Salzburg , but grew up in poverty with his grandparents in Lower Bavaria Geiselhöring Straubing and on . At the age of nine he lost his father . Later it moved to Padua Murnau and Munich . Padua interrupted his academic education from an early stage and concentrated on his painting . Padua early work is mainly influenced by the work of the painter Wilhelm Leibl , his later work was increasingly influenced by the New Objectivity . 1922 Padua member of the Munich Artists Association . In the following years Padua pictures were exhibited regularly . In 1928 he received the Georg - layer Prize and 1930 Albrecht Durer price of Nuremberg . In the 1930s, Padua increased awareness so that he exhibited on numerous trips outside the Munich region and in other European countries .
