Now here's something you don't see every day especially at Goodwill ! A Leonard DaVinci. It was laying on a bottom shelf. At first I thought it was wood. Boy was I wrong when I tried to pick it up. It's cast bronze and at least 20-25 lbs. maybe more. I didn't even take it out of the car's trunk. Of course everyone recognizes it as the "Last Supper" but what's it doing in a thrift store ?? The large size makes me think it might have been in a church as part of an altar. It's a bit dirty and paint spattered. The verdegris patches clued me to the fact that it is bronze because of the copper content. It should clean up nicely without harming the patina. The modeling is fairly good but not great. There are no signatures just a small "H" within a circle on one of the table legs which could be a foundry mark. There are numerous examples online but this one is much bigger than most. Rubylane had one that's the right size but it's signed by the artist. It's listed as a 1953 Bronze Plaque of The Last Supper by Walter Genthner and signed and dated on the back. So this is probably a copy but still a great find for fifteen bucks ! -Mike-

Hope you didn't get a hernia carrying it to the car! Will be interesting to see if you can track down owner of the "H" mark. Absolutely a great find!

You're welcome Thomas...he also used an experimental method to paint it disregarding the usual ""fresco " technique which accounts for all the repeated restorations. Twenty or so years after it was painted it was already disintegrating. Sad to say there's more restoration than original painting left at this point.
