This is an incredibly beautiful Victorian necklace made I thought from brass with hanging drops each set with tiny glass tiles depicting doves with flowering twigs with forget me not flowers. I thought (and before I bought it) that it was made of brass. But the acid test for gold gave at least 18K gold (see photo). There are absolutely no marks. I bought it for the incredibly low sum of $ 43.50. Tiny glass tiles are called tesserae and has been painstakingly handset by an Italian artisan.
It is in good wearing condition with only some missing tesserae. It fastens with a spring ring clasp which is repeared. It’s working well with a secure clasp.
The necklace has a length of 36 cm. including clasp. The seven tesserae drops measure 1.5 x 1.3 cm. It weighs 18 grams.
Stones/Beads: Tiny glass tiles/tesserae.

The tessare are the individual micro mosaic glass tiles. Not the medallions.
