I have a vintage /antique Art Deco / Victorian fancy bridge floor lamp.
The toggle switch to turn it on has an F on it.
The pole looks like a rope design with a ball made or carved of a marble type material and cold to the touch. Electric cord runs through the pole and is interwoven on the bridge to the socket and under the base.
It does work.
The lamp shade appears to be original. Almost looks and feels like a rawhide type material with black lacing trim on the and bottom and lacing that holds the frame to the lamp. This has deteriorated but easily fixable thread looks like leather . The shade screws on the lamp.
On the base is a black stripe that runs around just below the decorated base of the pole. At the base of the arm and pole is a wooden carved piece.
I love everything in that room!
What are teh marks on the base? They are hard to read.
Thank you for the compliment Celiene!
The marks are really hard to make out what I'm sure of is ?222 and .6.
patent no. 1241861 250w is on the light socket.
I have a very similar lamp with the screw-on shade however I don't have a shade only the piece the round piece that screws on the socket. I'm having trouble tracking one down.
