Rabbit stands 3 3/4 inch tall, has a date on shield of 1906 in pencil, heavy metal painted nodder really can't find much imformation about it, never seen another lke it. I did see 4 with the same body and shield, but they had chicken heads on them, and their ad said 1850???Any information would help.
I love this!! It's truly incredible. I have a big collection of rabbits and have never came across one like this.
I believe this to be a Franz Bergmann cold cast Vienna Bronze rabbit. Very collectible and very highly sought after. Hope this helps.
And yes, this would be from the last quarter of the 1800's thru the first quarter of the 1900's. You've got quite a jewel there!!!!
I found him in a old farm house...the people were german i believe........i reall could find out much imfirmation thru the yrs....i have always had him sitting out.....nodder works great......thank you for the imformation.........it needs to find a new home but i di like it........
The hous was built in the late 1800s.....walls were a foot thick clay bricks.....
