I found this in the back warehouse of a n antique store in historic Social Circle, Georgia, years ago. The back is hand carved with a cherub head in a teardrop paisley shape. I knew it was unbelievably old when I noticed it stuck way in the back under a pile of items. It was made without any nails, natural wood, and originally had arm rests on it. They were cut off level with seat. Spindled back is missing one, and foot-rest spindle is missing one side. I plan to restore it after I find out the era or time it was made. It is the size of current high chairs today. There is no tray that I'm aware of. There's nothing attached or removed from the chair back, that is evident of a tray. It may have been brought to the US by early settlers .........
