This is a silver necklace and bracelet by Bernard Instone, to be honest I wouldn't have recognised this as his work. On the back of each flower panel it is marked B in the middle and Langstone which is a combination of his mother and fathers names, silver, and Birmingham hallmarks, he founded his company in 1920. I believe these pieces were some of his earlier work. In my opinion this necklace and bracelet is not typical of any of the other work I've seen of his before. The reason I know that it is his, is because of the makers marks.
The silver flowers have 6 leaves with engraving on each petal, in the centre is a single marcasite In between the flowers are links that have a cluster of berries.

Even I can see these are unusual for him. As you say maybe early and before he really developed his own style. Still beautiful and beautifully made.
Hi Karen, they are more stunning in real life, they are certainly well made and it's always nice to find something different that he made. At the moment I have a caddy spoon he made on one of my postings, I also have another, It seems caddy spoons are highly collectable. Many of these art and craft people like Bernard Instone, Sybil Dunlop and Amy Sandheim (which I have one of her spoon) made caddy spoons, some of them are beautiful.
