Any info?

I inherited this lamp and its twin from my mother about 15 years ago. She got them from her father about 25 years ago. The story is he got them from his long time girlfriend who died in the mid-80's and she got them from a brother or former husband who was a merchant marine. They have been sitting in my storage for a long time and I finally got around to cleaning them up. They are pretty lamps and I would like to know more about them. They are brass and have three pieces that screw onto each other. The main part has a Chinese or Japanese style structure with mountains in the background and a ship sailing. The center piece has a mountain and a waterfall. There is some kind of Kanji marking as well. I dont know if it is the maker or a company. Just trying to find out more about them as I have cleaned them up and installed new electrical. Buying new shades this week and i will finally be able to set them up in my house. I dont know where to go to try to find out more info.
