I found this little item in goodwill. It is about two inches square on the bottom and 1 ½" tall on the shorter side and 2" on the other side.
I love the way it looks, with the back higher than the front. There are horizontal slanted lines along the body of the pot. The lid is smooth. The lid is also absolutely brilliant. It does not fall out because the lid has two protrusions and the pot has only one cut out so once you put the lid in and turn it, it does not fall out but there is enough air that you can pour out of the teeny tiny spout. And, there is no handle.
Has anyone ever seen one of these little pots before? Are they for cream or soy sauce? the spout is quite small so I doubt it is meant for cream. And, no mark on the bottom.
Is it for a child's set?
Being as small as it is, my wife would use it for shoyu (soy sauce). We have a teeny tiny metal tea pot that's a one-server. [;>)
thanks Nevada -- that was my best guess.
Good a guess as any! [;>)))
