I'm not a collector, but when I saw her sweet little face, I was immediately taken back to my childhood. She looked just like my baby when I was little, so I rescued her from the thrift store and brought her home. Her mouth is slightly open with two little lower teeth and you can see a bit of her tongue. Her eyes are fixed open. Eyelashes are painted and hair hinted at by markings on her head. She had a wig on, but it came off when I took off the bonnet. I would love to know her story. Her outfit looks like a christening type gown, maybe it was once pink. There is a second under gown that shows evidence of hand stitching. She has bloomers, socks, crocheted pink booties and a bonnet. The lining of the outside gown and the edges of the bonnet show some disintegration of the material. I would be happy to send pictures of her clothing. She has little 'gold' earnings with screw backs. Her body is tightly stuffed, appears to have an old fashion 'ma-ma' crier in her body. It doesn't make the cry like my old doll, just makes a pottery clunky sound. The cloth looks a bit old and yellowed and shows evidence of being darned and sown by hand in spots. I've looked over her body and head, but unfortunately, no identification markings that I can find.
