A Pacer 100 Skateboard by Duro...This board is in near mint condition with a vibrant red label.
Any way to DATE MY DURO SKATEBOARD ???...Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a skateboard timeline listing the companies, models and date of production.
Thanks for your time

- Skateboard Timeline -
1925 - Would a skateboard time line start with the Kne-Koster board. The snow sled company, Esten Burleigh Beeler of Chicago, Illinois applied for a patent on April 14, 1924, which was granted August 11, 1925, (# 706,545). This summer time dry weather sled held the first patent for an independent trucking system similar to that used on skateboards today.
19__?....what skateboard should be next in the timeline?...a Scooter Skate ?

Evidently the evolution of skateboards is still up for debate, which is discussed in the book: Skateboard Retrospective: A Collector’s Guide, Rhyn Noll

.
I Believe the Chicago Roller Skate Company should have been the first to manufacture a skateboard commercially, but I have not seen evidence to the fact...the few Chicago boards I have seen had crappy metal wheels, which does not make sense to me because I have seen their skates from 1914 with rubber wheels and rubber trucks just like we have today on skateboards.

Key Words: burn boards, Kne Koster, Skee Skate (tresco), Roller Derby Chicago, Humco, skate board, skateboards, van tennis shoes sneakers, Vintage, antique, long, short, old school, half quarter pipe, primitive, snowboard, pads, helmet, trash skid plate, bar, authentic, skate board, long slalom board, wood, stone wheels, trucks, 1950, 1960, 1970, 1980
While the Roller Derby may not have been the first commercially produced skateboard, it was likely the first mass produced board, as many of them survive today.
