I'm one step closer to my goal of having one of each color of Loetz Phänomen Genre 6893 in my collection. This one has a Thea (Lemon Yellow) ground. PG 6893 is identified by threads drawn into a wave pattern in a mold (often a 16 part ribbed mold) giving the pattern its distinct ribbed appearance. Silver overlayed rim and decoration with a ground and polished pontil. The silver overlay is unmarked and in a jugendstil motif. 8.25" tall. 3" across base. 4" across widest width. The shape is PN I-7492. Circa 1898.
I now have PG 6893 in Cobalt, Rubin, Candia, Mountain Blue, Thea and Crete. Just need orange and metallic red and I'll have all the colors that this decor was made.
I'm sure you will find the missing colours .. then a group shot please : )
very nice..
