The Game of Careers Parker Brothers 1955

This is the original version of this game first sold in 1955 by Parker Brothers. It was sold in until 1964 making this game at least 52 years old and in excellent condition.
This game was designed by Dr James Cook Brown a sociologist. His point was that money is not everything so this game included fame, happiness and of course money. One would write down their secret success formula which had to equal 60. As board games of this period go it was fairly complex and players had choices to make beyond the random dice roll.
I played this game a lot when I was a kid and have a feeling I will be playing it again soon.
