Another beautiful Australian antique sweet heart brooch!
This one is in 15 ct yellow gold with 2 pearl encrusted swallows a claw set heart shaped faceted amethyst in the centre with a gold heart and chains.

Betty I love this!!! The little swallows are gorgeous. Had a quick look through my book for the maker's symbol but it isn't one that I could recognize....

Thank-you Tassiedevil!:)It is stamped 15ct with the Australian hallmark but the makers mark is to small for me to read accurately.
Many jewellers made this style of jewellery in the Victorian era and were not as well known as Willis or Aronson etc and is more difficult to research their history.
It is great to have a piece with the "fleece" isn't it..... I have a cameo ring with it ....love 15ct anything!
Tassiedevil-I would love to see your cameo ring it sounds lovely!
"Fleece" or some say "suspended sheep" certainly helps when trying to identify a piece!
