I would love to know more about this knife. I've searched on-line and can find nothing. I searched East Kentucky Beverage Co., Inc. and only found the address for the company today, no website. From dating the Pepsi logos, I found that the logo on the knife itself is from 1971 and so maybe it's possible that this is a commemorative knife for the 75th anniversary of Pepsi??
Any ideas?
(please let me know if I posted this in the correct place, thanks)
Very nice. You would think though if it was a 75th anniversary item, it would have that on it somewhere. I would think early 70's.

Thank you iggy. I checked it out and it looks like the logo from 1973 matches the one on the knife itself. 1973 just happens to be 75 yrs. from 1898.
Do you see the round, silver emblem on the face of the knife? It says, "United Boker" does this mean anything to you?
I answered my own question above. United Boker is a knife maker. They still make this style today. It 's called a Boker 2 Blade Trapper w/ stag handles. I'm still hoping it's a 75th anniv. commemorative knife.
nice read, and knife !
Thanks 'whyatt'. I finally found out, from the previous owner, that this knife was presented to an employee of the Pepsi bottling company (East Kentucky Beverage Co., Inc.) at a celebration party during their 75th anniversary year. I learned that the logo on the knife itself was the new logo (introduced in 1971 for the upcoming 75th anniv. celebrations) called the "bookend" logo. Notice the old logo on the box is the one from the 1950's.
Please note: the above info is not 'official', it's a story that I believe to be true. I have yet to find this knife in any 'Pepsi' information I find on-line.
