Hello everyone.
I have collected a lot of costume jewellery over the years and this is one piece that has always intrigued me!!
I bought it at a market for $3.00 because it looked interesting and curious. It is very lightweight, curves around the wrist beautifully and has a very ornate setting both front and back. The "stones" are a deep red colour and are in closed back settings.
Not much else I can say about it except that I love it!
Has anyone ever seen one like this before??? or any thoughts appreciated, thanks.
Your bracelet is really pretty! I like all the embossing.
Thanks Efesgirl and for the love, I wear it quite often, I love it!
Thank you Caperkid, kyratango, martika, aura, vetraio50, SEAN68 and Nicefice, appreciating the "Love" !!
The bracelet is done in Victorian style and seems well-made and the design is tasteful. Several companies make antique-looking jewelry nowadays, check out "1928" for example; museum gift shops often sell beautiful reproductions. Your bracelet seems to be missing a link on one side near the clasp, and I wonder if the clasp itself is a replacement even though it is a pretty good fit design-wise. I see why you picked it up - I wouldn't be able to resist it, either.
Hello davyd286, thank you, I wondered about the clasp myself...it is pretty though! I had forgotten about the "1928" jewellery!!! thank you, will have to check it out!! I don't know why, but I have thought maybe Czech made Victorian revival sort of thing?? Anyway, thank you again, you have given me another line to follow now which is great!! and much appreciated.
