    the last pic shows the knife when I got it. not in real bad shape, but that pitting was a real pain to get out. thanks to hrs of work, the knife will look a lot better for a very long, well oiled, time. ive lightly sanded the stacked leather, and worked mink oil into it a few times. looks a little better now.

    I like this knife so much that ive an unused unsharpened knife like it coming in the mail.

    the sheath, of course, isn't original. but it fits great and serves the purpose.

      it sure is. left alone, it only gets worse. some collectors might would rather have the knife in its original condition. I want it to survive another 50 yrs

      not only was it pitting. the tip was broken off every so slightly. its pointed now.
      cant do very much about the stacked leather other than ive already done except to replace it. itll be alright in its condition . just keep it mink oiled every once in a while.. itll make that 50 yrs.
