Interesting base metal Deco mount on cigar-shaped vase

I am interested to know others' thoughts - Kralik were known to use simple twisted metal mounts into the 1930s (nothing like the high design of the Art Nouveau or early Deco). This might represent one: I am hoping that the form might ring a bell, but suspect that it is too simple to be a very useful shape.
Just under 22cm tall.
