35" x 56" oil on silk 1860-1900 to me this looks like a Eunuch possibly not sure I do not think someone would do a beautiful painting and not show at least a hint of a breast. The arms look to be muscular and the nose and face have some male features. It's been suggested it was ordered this way so as not to be risque where not appropriate back in the day. seems to me they would just have put more clothes on her. Its very sheer fabric. t is signed but too dirty to read it.
